Our Countertop Refinishing Process
Clean the countertop thoroughly and remove all caulking.
Mask around the countertop and cover areas not to be refinished. Technicians put down drop cloths and covers over cabinets, plumbing fixtures, backsplashes and appliances. Refinishing technicians are highly aware of the fact that they are in a private residence, so they take extra precautions to minimize over spray and other mess.
Remove or cover the faucet, drain fittings, and other hardware.
Set up a ventilation fan to vent over spray and odor outside.
Lightly sand roughen the original finish.
Fill chipped, scratched, or worn areas.
Sand and smooth patched areas.
Apply two coats primer with a sprayer, and let it dry.
Apply two-three coats of the highest quality professional-grade top-coat mixture with a sprayer.
Remove ventilation, uncover areas, and do general clean up of work area.
